Division 8 Announces Irish Heritage Month Schedule
The Rev. James T. O’Reilly Division 8 in Lawrence Massachusetts has announced their Irish Heritage Month schedule. This year the focus of activities will revolve around the 150 Anniversary of the American Civil War and the part Irish Americans played in this venue, particularly the Irish of Lawrence, Massachusetts. Frank Ford and Joe Danahy, members of Division 8 AOH have developed and created a 36 panel exhibit on this subject which will be on exhibit at the Lawrence Heritage State Park during March. Below is a schedule of activities that will take place during Irish Heritage Month, 2011. Irish Heritage Month is supported in part by a grant from the Lawrence Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
Sunday, February 27 Lecture by Michael Quinlan on the Irish & Civil War – 2 pm
